Shipping is DELAYED!!!!!!! Need Opinions....

OH MY GOD!!!!!!

I am about to faint with excitement...My new e-ring is on its way to me, and it was delayed by weather!!!!

Why oh why did I have to choose a vendor on the opposite end of the country from me?????

I have a dilemma now. They said it was supposed to be here by 10:30 am, but it was delayed and now they are not giving a time, just saying "today". I have to be here to sign for the package, but I have to go out and do a 15 minute errand that needed to get done this morning, and kind of can''t wait....

Should I risk it? Just get out, and get back? Or should I ball and chain myself to the house until my baby comes home????????

Opinions!??????!!!!!! I am DYING here!

Carrier is UPS...was sent next day air...just called ups, they said that if worst came to worse, I could go pick it up at their center 1 hr away tonight.

I think I have to risk it...I will let you knwo how it turned out.

I flying like the wind to get this stupid errand done.

Send good vibes that is doesn''t get delivered in the next 15 minutes!!!!!!!!!

Who thought I would ever vbe hoping it WOULDN''T be delivered sooner...HA!!!!

Actually....I think I might get a PS lynching for this...but my husband went out of town this weekend, and I just realized he took our digital camera with him!!!!

He does not get back till sunday afternoon!!!!! This means I might not be able to post pics right away.

Not to fear,though, I am working on getting one of my girlfriends to bring her digital camera over tonight to get pics so we can get them uploaded, ASAP,
b/c I know one of the most fun things for PS''ers is the SMTR forum

At least, I know it is one of my most favoritest things about PS!!!!

That and all you wonderful and helpful people who love diamonds as much as, maybe even more than, I do (which I never thought was possible before I found PS!!!)

actually UPS may redeliver but they won''t commit to it, it''s just based on the driver...

i had my new laptop delivered two months ago (wireless rocks!) and was waiting for it at home, but had to go out for a while, of course they came while I was gone. i was home the next day to get it and i said, oh yeah i got back like 20 minutes after you had been here but they wouldn''t redeliver and he said, oh i came back about an hour later to see if you were here. i said oh shoot, i figured since they said you would not come back that i''d just go out again!!

so, totally random, but i think if you leave a note if they are doing more deliveries in the area, they may swing back around to try again!

NOPE...No package...I am withering away here!

I need to keep myself busy. If it is still not here by 3-4 I am calling ups again. I am a bit concerned, b/c in the tracking page for UPS, it is not showing anyscan after "arrival in louisville KY" at 5:43 am this morning! It might have never left there...then I am waiting around here for nothing. But it still says it is slated for ontime arrival...I don''t know what to think!

No delivery''s on sat and sun, so if it does nto get here today, I have to wait till Monday....BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

BUt, I would have my dig camera back then, so we could get pics up asap to PS I guess there is an upside to everything. I will continue to be the glass half full gal, until I hear other wise.

Till then...I am just wasting a day sitting here waiting!

ooo, you are way more patient than I. I would have called already asking for the updated expected time and location, i.e. is it on the truck b/c it''s not showing up after this mornings scan....

hopefully, it will get there soon. my UPS guy always comes late it the day. once i received a package at 7:00pm

OK...ran out of patience and called ups back...

It is not coming today

They said it is stuck in louisville due to storms, and it won't be delivered untilt he next business day ie Monday!!!!!

OH, this is such a bad day...and I even stayed home from work to get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They apologized profusely, and said it woudl "FOR SURE" be here b/f 10 am on Monday. At least hubby will be here to ge tthe packge. Also, i will have my dig camera to upload pics asap after we get it.

Thanks all for hangin with me during this "trying time". I feel so silly fo rbeing so dissapointed when, in reality, this is NOTHING on the scale of bad things to happen...you know. Still one can''t help her feelings when it comes to jewelry!!!!!!!

I would love to drink heavily to help forget my worries, Patty, but unfortuanately I am 7 mo PG with our first baby...that takes any liquid options of soothing myself away

LynnB--I will get a manicure this weekend...GREAT idea! I called the hubby to complain about the delay and he said that this will make it even more special when I get it, and he will take me out on Monday night and re-propose to me--isn''t that sweet? I think he might be a keeper.

I will keep everyone updated...sorry to get everyone excited about new pics, and then pull the rug out!

Until Monday, we can all continue drooling of LynnB''s new beauty!!!! I swear I must have looked at that thread 50 times in the last 24 hrs!
