holy mother of pearl! nice choice of setting! beatiful stone, looks so perfect on your hand! i wouldnt have even thought about a setting like that, you have major vision for these things!
(I had a post on here of the setting before the center stone was set, very creepy looking). The halo is so delicate, I can hardly tell it is there! I was so nervous that I wouldn''t like the halo.
old-fashioned girl, I get the best arrows pictures with the sun ''behind'' the ring or my hand so: sun-window-ring (sitting on sill)-camera or sun-window-hand-camera. I have taken about a 1000 shots to get about 5 decent arrow shots, so don''t despair, it really just takes time...and a crazy obsession helps
julie, ring size is 5.5...thanks, I usually remember to add that!
diamondseeker, it was a fabulous deal! I took a lot of time to actually decide on it from the first time I saw it on Pearlmans, but I really wanted to do my research to see if there was anything else I could like better...it was seriously meant to be though, it''s my original ring size (have since lost weight and shrunk a 1/4 size) AND my diamond fit AND it was still there after weeks of indecision!
BlackIsland, shout out to you! I've had your ring saved on my desktop since last year!!!! Your's is an inspiration to all
I think I got a couple photo radar speeding tickets already today! I keep staring at it, then I'm like oh yeah, DRIVING! Did I just run that light/speed through a school zone/something else crazy? You might want to stay off the road if you're in SE AB
It is fantastic!!!!!!!!! And you were worried! It looks amazing and your center stone looks huge! I got my tacori last night too but I''ve been too busy to take pics.
fabcrab, how can you hold out on us?!?!? Are you loving it or what?
Isis, thank you for your compliments! I''m thinking of a teensy milgrained or engraved plain band AND a Beverly K diamond and milgrained 1.8mm band, all gorgeously stacked together.
I should take shots of my 2mm knife edge old setting upside down to show a plain band with it, I actually think it looks really good together!
shimmer, it looks amazing. i''m so glad you didn''t let the empty setting scare you and decided to go ahead with setting your stone. it really looks perfect!!!
YAY!!!!!!! Congratulations!!! Not only is the ring AMAZING (and I agree that the setting by itself was mystical, scary, and cave-like lol), but I loved how you built up the anticipation to the HANDSHOTS which blew my mind. The proportions are just PERFECT, which I was THRILLED to see, because I have a .81 ct and am a size 5.5 and I am going for something very similar! It looks so amazing and lovely on your hand, espec. in pics 17, 18 and 21. So beautiful. you are also an exemplary photog, my dear -- be proud!
Let''s hear it for TACORIS! TACORIS are TAKING OVER THE WORLD! Perhaps we should start a TACORI party... perhaps I''m getting carried away lol.
I am so happy for you, and hopefully we can see more pics! There can NEVER BE ENOUGH!!!!
