Dear people,

I am so confused. I been on this sight for at least a week, and everyday I see Idealscope images of stones, including princess cuts. Can someone please confirm for me what an Idealscope is? Can you do them on princess cuts? And explain why Sherelene Bradbury told me that you can''t do them on Princess cuts? I honestly, dont know anything.

Thanks

You *can* do them on princess cuts although they don''t paint quite a perfect of a picture. If you go through the IS tutorial there''s a section on what to look for in fancy shapes. (And who''s Sherelene Bradbury?)

link about idealscope
you can absolutely use them with princess cuts, as you have seen.

Fancy shapes depend even more on dynamic movement than rounds do (properties not communicated in an IS). Fancy shapes may also have several IS ''looks,'' depending on how they were cut, that may all = high quality/beauty, whereas round IS images of highest quality look more similar to each other. There is no doubt that it is more difficult to interpret predicted fancy appearance with an IS than it is in a round. ASET may tell us more about fancy shapes, but it is still young.

That said, having an IS image to accompany other data is (in our opinion) better than not having one.

I googled her too Dave. Tried to post links to the other 2 pages of her article here but they would not work.

I would not want to copy the text w/o her permission but the internet-related portion is on page 3 for those who find the 'Your Health' article. There is no mention of ideal-scope or other assessment that I could find in this piece.

Of interest, for those in the DC metro area, I believe she''s local to us. And posted here, too.

I didn''t "google" her at all. That even sounds sort of nasty, doesn''t it?

I used Copernic which I find very useful for quick multi-search engine googling..... If I Copernicked her, that does sound much more refined, right?
