Shaving the sides of e-ring band to make it narrower?

Has anyone had the band of their e-ring shaved down to make it narrower? If you have picture of the results could you share? Also how long did it take?

I had my 2.2mm plain ygold solitaire band shaved down to 2.0mm at Gary''s store Precious Metals. It took a week

I''ve heard in SMTR posts people talking about how they had bands shaved to match their erings and they were happy with the results. They also said it was fast and inexpensive. Good luck!!!

Gary, here''s a picture. It''s a trellis ring and 3.5mm wide. I was thinking of taking the width down to 3mm. Thank you!

YSJ you can do that, but you will need some good advice - or turn it around so I can see the under side of the wires - because otherwise your wedding ring might end up having a gap where it hits the cross over wires that become the prongs
