Sharper Image Cleaner

Hey every one,

I was at the mall the other day and to my surprise sharper image was having a closing sale!! So I got the much wanted jewelry cleaner, a $99.00 usd value for only $30.00 with tax included! So i was very excited and got home and set it up and put my jewelry in and i turn it on and the little machine starting making a snapping noise...then it stopped, then it did it again...then it stopped. I noticed the container had a small crack so i thought maybe that was causing the problem so i changed containers but it still made that noise. It kept doing this the entire cleaning cycle. It was quite loud and annoying. I was wondering if this was normal? does any one elses makes this weird noise?

we have one as well.. that sound is normal.. very annoying, but that''s the sound it makes while cleaning..

lol extremely annoying, i have to find somewhere to hide it to muffle the sound while it cleans. Thank you!

Mine crackles like there''s lightning inside the machine...drives the dogs nuts. I put it in the bathroom and close the door while it''s running, with a washcloth underneath to muffle the sound abit.

It has always sounded like this....maybe some sonic boom action going on while it''s on, who knows?

I have one, and it makes a loud buzzing noise while it''s cleaning but that''s the only sound. I''d go exchange yours if you can.
