Is it possible to have a shared prong e ring and wedding band made and not have it eat up at each other or scratch any metal? Any tips would be appreciated.

Yes, it''s very possible. It just depends on the construction of the rings, with an appropriate diamond to band width ratio. If there''s no "hang-over" of diamonds, it can be perfectly safe.

My old set was shared prong 3 pointers custom made by WF and I never had any problems with it at all. You can do a search and you''ll see a thousand photos of it posted throughout PS!

As Lynn has offered, it''s most important for all diamonds to be exactly the same spread, and appropriately smaller than the band width. If you have even 1 or 2 that have more spread than the others they can rub on the opposite ring. With the correct formula the diamonds can appear to meet to the naked eye when they actually do not.

Memoire bands are actually designed to prevent any rubbing. The rings fit together like a puzzle.
