We are now looking at other setting options, possibly through WF, but I have some questions. I tried on a shared prong ring at a jewelry store and it was pretty uncomfortable but it had prongs that stuck up a lot more than I have seen on other people''s rings. Are the ones with smaller type prongs (like Mara, RichardAlex, Amber Waves, etc) just as comfortable as other rings? Would a 1/2 eternity shared prong be more comfortable than a 3/4? Also, ACA melee are gorgeous, but do you think that they would take away from an asscher center stone more than regular melee? I am talking about very small ones, probably as small as we could get away with on a shared prong band. Thanks everyone!

I personally find the 1/2 eternity more comfortable than the 3/4 or full eternity, but I think it''s something you''d get used to. I also think that really small melee (ACA or not) creates more subtle sparkle and texture than all out bling, and so woul look great with an asscher.

My 1/2 eternity e-ring from Whiteflash is very comfortable. It doesn''t dig into my skin at all...I hardly know it''s there.

Don''t pass up a chance to get the ACA melee...Those little ideal cut diamonds are stunning and soo white!!!!!!!!

I think this is a matter of how your hands are and how you hold them. I assumed that half would be more comfortable. However it caused my finger to make a little blister and even bleed. So we switched it to a full eternity and I have had no discomfort since.

As for the ACA melee they are indeed very lovely, I am not sure how small WF will sell them. You may want to get a tighter range of specs (ie how large the asscher will be and what point/mm size diamonds will be in the band) and ask again.

i have a prong set eternity, not shared prong, and it''s very comfortable....i do think that full eternity is more comfortable than 1/2 because i have a 10 stone shared prong ring for my RH which i wear sometimes and the edge where the diamonds stop and plain metal starts kind of bothers my hand as it presses against it, i''d rather have a more ''uniform'' feel...but some people prefer 1/2 over eternity so it''s just such a personal thing, hard to say one way or another.

i do think you also tend to get used to whatever you buy, as long as it''s not driving you INSANE or hurting you....aka when i first got my ring it felt weird to have something between my fingers, and then metally, but now i don''t even notice they are on most of the time.

one thing is that my wf w-ring has slightly taller prongs on the melee than my e-ring, i may have WF see if they can bring those down a bit next time they have my set, but they don''t bother my with typical wear or anything, just when i run my thumb over the top i can feel the higher prongs than the stones.

My WF eternity band had 3 point melee and was very comfortable. I never really noticed it after I got over being paranoid I was going to damage it

. Depending on what size melee you are thinking about, I don''t think it would outshine your asscher.
