I bought on amazon a 12 pack of large cotton dinner napkins. Nice sturdy cotton material about 24x24. I want to make face masks for my weekly shopping trip and a few extras in case my teens need to go to the doctor or somewhere in public. My kids don't intend on gong out, but I want to be prepared. I live in a hard hit area and when I go out from now on will wear a mask and gloves.
I do not own a sewing machine but I have a basic sewing box: needles, thread, regular pins, safety pins.
Anyone care to post their most basic mask pattern that can be hand sewn?
I tried that banadana/rubber band thing but maybe my ears are weird, it didn't stay on my ears, or it pulled tight and was not comfortable. I prefer the type of mask that would tie in the back of my head.
Thanks!
