Shanks of Vatche Swan and Tiffany Classic Solitaire

Hi everyone,

I''m looking to see if anyone knows the mm of the shanks for the Vatche Swan and the Tiffany Classic Solitaire.

The reason I''m asking is because I''m thinking about getting Mark Morrell''s Sunburst setting and I''m just not sure if I should get the original (~3mm shank) or petite (~2.5mm shank). I have tried on both the Vatche Swan and the Tiffany Solitaire, so if anyone could let me know what the shank size for these rings are, that would be great. I would then have a better idea of which Sunburst would be best for me based upon the mm of the shanks for the other 2 rings.

Tiffs is around the 2.5mm I believe. What size is your stone? I would personally stick with a 2.5mm band. 3mm is getting a little thick for my liking. A thinner band will make your centre stone look larger and ''pop''.

Also consider the mm dimensions of your stone compared to the band width. I like a little space between the band and the stone so the stone stands out and doesn''t just blend in with the band too much and look smaller.

honey22 --I am looking to get a stone that is 1.75 - 2cts (probably closer to 1.75) and my ring size is 6. Do you think that this size stone and ring size would look okay with the petite setting (2.5mm)??

I think the regular would be pretty good for your size stone and ring size. Both would be ok, but probably the 3 mm would be my preference.

I have the 18kt yellow shank with platinum head Vatche Swan and the shank is approximately 2.2mm wide.

Oops, I mispoke, I had the gold and platinum Sisley here. I also have the platinum swan and it also has a shank of 2.2mm.
