I just looked at an asscher/sq emerald with a table of 69% and a depth of 54.6%. Looking at the face there were endless parallel concentric steps and a nice windmill. What would be the downside of such a shallow stone?

can you explain the table and depth when looking @ an asscher? Table is the outside and where the diamond is fragile? depth?
The table is the flat top of the stone - the glassy surface area before it slants down toward the girdle. The table down to the girdle is the "crown height" .. the table to the culet is the "total depth". (I think!)
