Hi Bay Area PS''ers!!!

I was chatting w/ Beacon and Art Nouveau today and there''s a Cartier Exhibit going on right now at the Legion of Honor in SF that we would all love to go to. As for dates, Feb 20th is the date we''re thinking of going and we would love to have as my PS''ers as possible! The more the merrier!

Here''s the link for the event:
http://www.famsf.org/legion/exhibitions/exhibition.asp?exhibitionkey=1051

We''re going to meet at 10:00am and more than likely after the event we''ll just grab a bite to eat at the cafe on site like we did last time.

Hope to see everyone soon!

Oooh! I saw a bunch of bus ads for the exhibit! I literally squealed when I first saw the ads which kinda scared my boyfriend and passersby. LOL.

I can''t go anytime soon, but please post your review (ie. whether you think it''s worth it to go) and maybe some pictures (if they let you take pics)?

Hi AG... If you don't mind my MIL coming along (she's a lovely lady) I would love to come. And if Neatfreak wants to maybe the three of us can come up together.

We can do a picnic up there too. It's so beautiful up there and the grounds are stunning. Would anyone be interested in a pot luck picnic after?

Hi Gypsy, of course you can bring your MIL, it''s always fun with a large group. That''s a great idea for you and NF to carpool up. As for the picnic idea, I do think that''s a really good idea but being in Feb, the weather could be nasty (of course the last time we were there, it was amazing, but I think that was in the summer). I''d say we play the picnic idea by ear and check the weather as the date gets closer.

Hi PS''ers! I thought I would bring this tread to life again since the event is this coming Saturday. Is everyone still in? I''ll try to email everyone a little later today to remind them.

It looks like it''s going to rain the next few days so I''m not sure if the picnic will work. Do you guys want to grab lunch at the Legion or go somewhere after the event?

Can''t wait to see you all. Violet I''ll pick you up!

What!!? I am sorry we missed you and your MIL? There were 7 of us and we were there from 10-12:30 then spent a few more hours in the cafeteria. It was a spectacular show almost too much to take in at one time. It made for a very pleasant Saturday.

that was my reaction too when we saw the show in january! it was indeed high class, high carat/karat overload! but so worth the "rush"!

It was fun to see some of you again yesterday at the Cartier exhibit. It is a great show but I agree it''s bling overload. I prefer the pieces from the Edwardian and Art Deco periods. The tutti fruit, exotic pieces and the big bib necklaces from the 1940''s are too much for me.
