Seven stone price quote. What do you think?

Platinum 7 stone shared prong band to feature approx 7 x .07ct melee H/I SI ring size 5 = $2275

Does this sound like a good quote? The online quote for the same ring but 7 x .05ct melee F/G VS is $1860.

I know I jumped in size of melee but I also went down in color/clarity to match my center stone. This quote is from a very reputable online dealer but I just wanted to know your thoughts.

Generally Platinum has been ~$250 more through IDJ for a comparison at the low end of the price range

I have not purchased from them (so check forums for feedback) but am very seriously considering this 9 stone @ 0.05 each for a wedding band in the next few weeks

I wear a 5 1/2, and my 7 stone with 10 pointers just covers the top of my finger. So I would encourage you to consider 9 stones if you are going with 7 pointers.

I am going to have to say that I don't think it is a good price because here is a .75 ctw band with 9 stones, H VS2, for $2500:

I just bought a seven stone ring myself for a RHR! Mine is a little bigger with 15 pointers though. I bought mine (and another one as a birthday present for my mom) from IDJ. They had the best prices that I could find. I got mine a couple of weeks ago and I adore it! It's absolutely prefect! I got quotes from some other vendors and IDJ was definitely the lowest.

This is the exact one that I have. I love the setting on it. It's very low. You could also do the U prong style. The the .7 in gold, it would be $703. And like a poster above me said, they charge just a little bit more to make the platinum.
