Settings Tutorial

Hi Everyone,

I am looking for some info on settings. Is there a tutorial or good resource you would recommend similar to the one on diamonds in the knowledge section above. Also can I get some recommendations on the following:

4 prong
High setting (i.e. the diamond sits high on top of the finger)
Flush (allows for a flush fit with a wedding band)
Thin (the recepient has 4 3/4 size fingers so would like to keep the ring looking delicate)
Plain Solitaire (no side or accent stones)

I really like settings that taper in, but than you have difficulties flush mounting the wedding ring. The reason for the flush mounting is that she wants to be able to leave the engagement ring at home when we travel so the wedding ring shouldn''t look like some sort of alien twisted device and should rather be fairly standard.

Really appreciate the help.

Dont have any tutorial for you but if you want a high setting you might consider a cathedral setting.
Here is also a link to percision set bands that sit flush with the wedding band.

Thanks! I like that setting it is quite nice, but I would still like to be educated on settings in general so I can appreciate the mechanics behind them. Any suggestions on tutorials anyone?
