Hello all,

Think I (/we) have narrowed it down to this setting:

I've read a lot of the improved value in finding your own diamond through wholesalers. However, I've been advised HOF will not sell their settings on their own. I have not found another setting that has all the features this one has and I am not sure how well ring designs can be reproduced by custom jewellers. Find a better diamond for the $ but take my chances with a custom jeweller on the setting? Pay the premium for the HOF? Welcome any thoughts.

On another note, if anyone has this ring with the 0.7ct centre I'd be happy to see a pic. They don't have it in store and I haven't found a pic online on a hand. She has small hands, size 4.5, want to make sure it looks balanced.

Thanks for your time! While those are nice they don't have the same smooth transition from the side stones to the ring, but a bit of a 'step'. This seems to be the same case with all the other 3 stone designs I've seen.
 
I think you will need to bite the bullet and get the original.
 
If HOF simply states the range of specs their diamonds fall into, how do I know I'm not the guy who gets the SI1 J stone and pays the same as someone getting VS1 D? I suspect most would just fall at the poorer end of the scale anyways.
 
Ranges are usually within a grade of each other, like D/E VVS, or H/I SI. No one is going to be using D-J VS1-SI1.
