settings question

I have been working with a local jeweler here in NY. I am buying the diamond from him. I have been eyeing the Vache 1513 listed on Whiteflash. Would it be ok to buy that setting from Whiteflash if they are charging less? James Allen has a nice setting too. I have a tight budget. Any advice?

I'd ask the jeweler from whom you're buying the stone if he'll give you a discount on the Vatche setting since you're purchasing the stone from him.

Keep in mind that if you buy the setting and the stone from different sources, you'll undoubtedly have to pay a fee to have the diamond mounted -- and that might be more than the price differential you're currently seeing. Also, Whiteflash won't set a stone purchased elsewhere unless you produce proof of insurance & sign a waiver of liability. See the 3rd FAQ under the Whiteflash Jewelry header on this page:
