Settings in WG vs YG and price

I went to a jewelers and they had a white gold diamond halo setting for $900. g/ si1 stones and it was in the BRIDAL CASE.
Over in the gemstones case I found the SAME SETTING, in yellow gold, for $600. g/si1 stones.

Do you think they did this because one was in the bridal case (came with a CZ) vs the gemstone case (came with a gemstone)??????

I had been looking to reset my OEC but after seeing this was a little upset.

Thoughts???

Swedish - Gold prices fluctuate, and sometimes you can find pieces priced at old gold, i.e., much lower, prices. I love it when I can snap up one of those. That''s my best guess as to what is going on.

Sometimes yellow gold is harder to move because it''s not as popular. So the vendor may be trying to get rid of that piece. I''ve heard other stories of yg being less expensive in stores. Also, ask the jeweler if the yg has cz in it .
