Settings for earrings

[Love Diamonds]

I am looking for a solitaire earrings setting suggestions. I will be setting a pair of .95ct each (1.90ct total).

I like the basket setting but am not sure if they will get too heavy and weigh down the ears with daily use.

To make the earrings versatile, I was thinking of making an additional pair of rings (with diamonds) that could be slipped on at the base of the solitaires.

All thoughts/setting pictures and suggestions are welcome. Thanks!!

I love the 3 prong martini setting. It sits nicely on your ear and doesn''t droop. Much better than the traditional 4 prong setting. Also there is something called monster backs which are larger clutch backs and hold the diamonds quite well. You can do a search here on PS as this has been discussed recently. Good luck!!!

definitely the 3-prong martini. it is very low profile and elegant.
