Setting similar to Caroline...

Hello,

I really like the Vatche Caroline setting, but want something in yellow gold, with a platinum head... and don't mind if it has the melee stones.

Does anything else like this exist? I want a fairly simple solitaire setting and really like the basket on the Caroline.

BGD does a 4-prong cathedral solitaire with diamonds on the basket in yellow gold. The stock photos show prongs in white metal, but I don't see why they couldn't do the entire head in platinum.

Have you asked if Vatche will do the Caroline the way you want it? I would think they might, have you asked a vendor about it?

Thanks Gypsy, I did check with a vendor and they are able to do it but the setting is very expensive which is why I was hoping to find something similar for non-designer prices!! A girl can dream!

Ahh. So what you needed to title this thread is "Budget settings similar to Vatche Caroline"... I'd post a new thread asking that-- with the budget you have. Nothing is ringing a bell for me. But I'll keep thinking about it.

Whiteflash has a setting kind of similar called the 'Full of Surprises' solitaire:

Thanks everyone, I think I am narrowing down what I really want.

Plain shank that doesn't taper, cathedral/basket head, yellow gold with platinum.

I love the 1895 by Cartier, hopefully I can find something similar, anyone got ideas for something that comes in yellow gold?

You want the budget option? Call Yekutiel at IDJ, send him the Vatche, tell him you want a similar 'inspired by'-- detail the metals and have him custom make it for you. He'll get it to you at the best price.
