Sigh, that is one gorgeous ring!!!! Love the prongs!! How about a profile shot?? PP= pretty please

Ditto!
Belle - Love those heart prongs - sweet without being syrupy. Who made your setting?
Do you have your own ring thread? I don't think I've ever seen your ring before.
Love the size/finger coverage reference pics too - it is indeed plenty of finger coverage.
Coupled with Laney's 3 carat thread - I'm thinking three stones are the way to go.

Scintillating...

Whoa! Beautiful, Belle!!! I don''t recall seeing your 3 stone before! It has lovely proportions! Hey, is that the 1.79 that Captain Polyester just bought and posted? It really is beautiful! But it would have been a shame to mess up the beautiful ring you have. What size ring do you wear, Belle?

thanks for the very nice compliments guys, i really do love this ring. scintillating, it is the wf w-prong and you are right, the prongs are sooooo very perfect and delicate i just love them. that is part of the reason i didn''t go with the bigger stone (yes, ds, the one that captain polyester just bought). the ring would have to be totally remade to accomodate the larger stone and i was hesitant since it is absolutely perfect now.
i don''t have a thread about my ring but if ds doesn''t mind, i could post a couple more photos here when i get a chance. ring setting is such a hard decision! hopefully all the ideas and pics here will help ds (and even others) decide what they want in a design.

Oh, post away, Belle! You know there is NO limit to diamond ring pictures around here! We can''t get enough!! Lol! Honestly, I don''t think I''d upgrade the ring you have because it''s perfect like it is. If anything, if you could get another diamond later, I''d keep the one you have and wear it as a RHR or alternate them. I''ve always wanted a 3 stone as one of my rings!

Oh Belle this is the first time that I''ve seen your ring and it is simply stunning!!! What a classy and exquisite design for a three stone and it looks just perfect! Please post some more pictures.

I will have to admit that I did not love the Scott Kay's with smaller stones because they don't have enough finger coverage. But the one I tried on had a 1.5 center and maybe .33 on each side, so the diamonds did cover most of the top of my finger. Unfortunately, a lot of settings look better with larger stones. Kaleigh's is another example of one that I think looks terrific with a 2 ct. stone and would not look good with a 1 ct., for example.
I found the same thing. Again, DS, you remind me of me. I 'only' have a 1.1ct, and to me the 3-stones didn't have enough finger coverage for me. When I tried on MissGotRocks' and Virginia's beautiful 3-stones, they looked good, and then I realized it's because their diamonds are so much bigger, there was finger coverage. (Virginia's round is <2ct, I think, but has long pears that allow the finger coverage. Gorgeous ring!)

p.s. to Belle: I agree, your ring is gorgeous. What size finger do you have? Because it does seem like good finger coverage.

thanks ds! i like your 'get another diamond later' plan too!

i love having the 3stone but it would be so cool to have a solitaire and a halo and a split shank and a.....

eta> just saw your ps ofg. the ring is a size 4.5 but i think a lot of the finger coverage has to do with the way that the stones are angled. i tried on a scott kay that had the same size sides and it looked different, like in pebbles pic. the stones seem to 'nestle' in a bit more.

OFG, yes, I think Virginia''s ring turned out great! I think the center is about 1.8 cts. I noticed when I was setting shopping that most rings looked better with the larger diamonds. Of course, most were set with cz''s, but it did help seeing settings with different size stones. My salesperson was young and had a 1.5 ct. solitaire in a plain tiffany setting. I asked her if she planned on getting one of the settings her store carries. She told me she planned on waiting until after she upgraded the diamond! Haha! Very smart girl! (I should have told her about PS!!!)

I''ll post any pictures they (MM) send.

Hello! I have the pics, but I don''t have permission to post them, and because they are images of his master prototypes, I don''t want to post without permission. I think Mark is planning to close the workshop for a month in between last 2 wks of aug and mid sept.

I''ll see if I can get permission to post the pics!

Jade, can you just email them to Gypsy?

But rats, I'll bet they couldn't do anything for me until after mid-Sept. if they are closing then. They did ask me if I had a timeline and I said I was flexible but didn't want to wait a really long time. I haven't hread back yet.

DS, any news or new thoughts today?
Not really. I just posted the pictures that Maytal Hoftman sent me in it''s own thread so other people could see them. I may never decide on a setting. They are too expensive to just buy and change every year! So I want to be sure I choose something that is timeless, classic, and always in style. That sounds like the Tiffany, I guess!

How about you?

still waiting on the new memoire to arrive. After i see it if i''m still undecided I''m going to wait until our trip to chicago in a few weeks and make a day trip to pearlmans to see the settings again in person.

I don''t blame you for going back to Pearlman''s. I went to a place that would be as close to Pearlman''s as exists in this region this week, and it helped to be able to try on settings. But realistically, they had so much, I could have looked all day. If they would just let me loose in there so I could try everything on without tying up a salesperson, that would be great! Just use a metal detector and screen me before I leave! Lol!

I wish I could see the Ritani set made with wider bands. I am afraid to order something I have not seen. But that is a simpler design yet has the diamonds to keep the sparkle after the platinum gets dull. I love the Scott Kay, but it is maybe more blingy than I need. What do the Memoire rings look like..any idea?

my only clue is the ring Bill posted on here. I don''t really love how it looks in the picture but Bill assures me that they are so delicate and beautiful in person. The hardest part will be actually finally commiting to something..

What ring are you referring to that Mr. P posted?

this one:

the new Memoire 99.9 platinum single prong ring from the Purity Collection. 5 years in the creation this ring comes with a written guarantee that if a diamond falls out it will be replaced. Most platinum has a Vickers system of hardness of 120 at 95% pure. This ring has a Vickers rating of 215 :-) Really hard! We''ll have the whole line up soon.

Hmmm, I''d sort of have to see that one on the hand. Not sure I''ve ever seen the single prong. It could be really nice. But I''d be curious to see the matching e-ring.
