Setting question

I love the look of a 6 prong solitare in yellow gold, but I am not sure about which metal to use for the prongs. I have heard that it''s best to use platinum for the prongs as they are safer and look better. Any ideas on which is safer / looks better? Thanks again to everyone that''s answered my long list of questions in the past - you have been great!!

in most styles yellow prongs look cheap.

Platinum is almost always the beez kneez
