setting question

I just bought this setting and had my .60 carat set in it. It is a stock setting from whiteflash.

my question is if ever want to have a larger stone n say between .75 to 1 carat put in this setting do you think I could. or is the setting modified for the original stone. I know they may have to change the head. Since it is a cathedral are the sides moved in more for a smaller stone or is it just the head that is different?

Jess, I wish I could help you out but I think the best thing would be to ask WF. They seem to have different requirements for each setting so it''s hard to say.

I''ve asked them about my 6-prong tiffany setting and if I remember correctly, it was not possible to modify it for a larger stone. Others on the board have upgraded (I think Maisie?) the diamond in the legato setting I''m pretty sure.

I could be wrong but I don't think that head can be changed out easily...it's fairly integrated into the setting. Might be able to fit a .75...but you'd have to ask WF.
