setting question for experienced jeweler and buyer

my diamond is G color. I ordered a prong setting with wide curved pave which has D color stones. is that going to make my diamond look yellower? should i custom make one with G color pave diamonds? it will cost me additional 1000 usd to custom make it.

btw, the diamond is 3.29 carat, i read that bigger diamond shows color more, so should i custom make with G color side stones or pick a setting with no stones at all?

The difference will exist, but you may not be able to see much of a difference. My wife's H/I color 3ct center has white diamonds on the side which no one seems to ever notice for their color. I wouldn't worry over it. Don't spend $1000 more to end up with other diamonds which still won't be a erfect match to the center diamond. A G is a great color and won't cause you a problem.

I don''t think it''ll be an issue. I had a right hand ring J coloured diamond paired with D/E/F coloured melee (7 pointers) in the wedding band and I could not tell the difference.
