Setting Opinion Requested

I had been dreaming of setting my pink asscher cut spinel into this drop dead design from Taffin:

Since it looks very unusual, I figured that it has to be custom and very expensive (PT).

As I was helping another newbie PSer with custom questions, I happened upon a design very similiar to the Taffin one:
It looks like it also has 2 "prongs" from the top view. All I have to do is change the double row of pave into a single one, trim down the sides a little and viola! And its in WG too (which I prefer and my wallet likes it too

).

What do you all think? Doable?

I would think it's doeable. It wouldn't hurt to get a few quotes and see if any one would be willing to attempt it?

I hope it''s doable, I''d sure love to see hand pics of that! It really is a gorgeous design. I love the idea.

I think that Daniel K has a much nicer (side view) ring with the same or similar face up view. Don't have the link... sorry. But I recommend doing a search for it.

I''d much rather have the Taffin or DK reproduced. You could always do that in 18k wg to save $$$.

I love the Daniel K setting! Beautiful profile view! I prefer the Taffin or DK setting too. I''d get a few quotes to see how much it would be in WG.
