What exactly are you asking? You have posted some gorgeous settings here.

If we''re voting, they''re all pretty, but #2 is absolutely my favorite. Hands down. - BB

I found it - but I also found the one below but with a sigle band not split

Anyone know what company could mock up a drwawing to show me what it would look like with a slightly colored stone and a diamond - I''m stuck as to whether to be bold and different or traditional with diamonds.

PS know where I might get a good price? - I would be buying a band at the same time!

I love No. 2 from Leon Mege. Do you care to share where you found the setting? I like it very much and wondering where I can find it. I like the profile of the ring. Thanks!

Is the first setting from Solomon Brothers? If so, they could customize the ring for you through the designer. Either setting would look great with a cut corner square diamond. Personally, I think that both settings would look better with white diamonds in the setting itself, but either a diamond or colored stone in the center. Just my opinion!

PS - just heard back from Solomn Bros - they can customise the setting - I would try them too.

NOW WHAT DO I DO about a stone - do I go for a slight tint see....

or diamond - if so - where do I get them from for about $1500 - $2000

HELLLLLLLLLLLLLP{PPPPPPPPP!

Hi Jo,
Thanks for providing more information on the setting. I figured it out. That was from soloman brothers.
I think the setting from soloman brothers is very classy and delicate. I especially like the side profile.
I just found a stone and trying to figure out a setting. I too wonder if it is really worth the trouble to get a stone and a setting from two different places. It gets tricky if you have to return the stone for some reason.
Do you have anything in mind about the diamond, such as color, clarity, cut and carat? I am sure you can find diamond in your price range. It just comes down to how your prioritize the Cs. Once you figure out your priorities, then you can start comparing stones. Hope this helps!

Hi Jo,
James Allen found this one for me. It looks very similar to the one from SB. It is from Danhov and looks like SB carries them as well. This one has 4 small diamonds on the prones. I thought it looks really pretty from the top. Just thought to share it with you to see if you''d like it.
I have RB stone, but the pic shows a princess(?).

Oops, hit the wrong button... didn''t attach the pic.

Thanks SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much - that has really made my mind up.

Any idea where you are getting your stone?

I dont think I would have the stones on top might just tip the budget.

Hi Jo,
I think I am getting my stone from JA. The stone I picked out is a 1.73 SI2 J RB. GIA ideal cut.
I know you are looking at the fancy diamonds. I don''t have much knowledge about that, so I could really offer any help. The only thing I know from a lot of reading is that fancy diamonds are more expensive because they are more rare. I think you could get bigger and better regular diamond with the same kind of money than fancy diamonds. My personal preference is size, so that is what I went for.
One more thing on the fancy diamond is that I think if you ever want to resell your diamond, fancy diamonds may be harder to sell. Good luck finding your dream ring. Post a pic when you do get it!

Linda

cheers linda - I think i''ll go for a diamond with high fluorescence- your right on size - i dont want it to be too small the band is quite slim on the finger and I have long fingers.

How much are you being quoted - if you dont mind me asking -

Please shoe me pics too when it comes - any idea how long you will have to wait?

take care

Jo

Hi Jo,
I really don''t mind sharing. I just hope I don''t violate any rules on the pricescope cause I think it is a very good forum and helped me a great deal. If I do, I appologize. It is $3500.

My BF just placed the order and we were told that it was going to take two weeks. It is gorgeous and I can''t wait to see it!!!

Please post a pic when you get yours.

Linda

So sorry - hope we havent crossed any boundaries - my fault if so -didnt read small print - i''ll take detention if so -

but 2 last Q''s ---- is that including diamond? and are you gettin it all from are you getting both from JA?

look forward to seeing pics too when you getting married any ideas? what your proposal story - mine involved food poisening - if you saw that post!!!!!

take care - you from us?

jo

Based on the size of diamond hawk said she was getting, "a 1.73 SI2 J RB. GIA ideal cut", I'd say $3500 is just for the setting. I did a quick search on the top of the page based on that diamond and results returned were in the $8000 range.

I have a Danhov ring from the Meno collection. Danhov rings are absolutely beautiful and if you choose to go with this setting I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Good luck!

Hi Jo,
Nope, this price is only for the setting and it is in platinum. If you get 18K white gold, I am sure it will be less expensive. I got both diamonds and setting from JA. After I saw the setting you posted, I fell in love with it, so I called JA to see if they can custom make it for me. Ashley from JA was very help. She and JA himself found this setting from Danhov for me. This particular setting is not even on JA''s website, but you can find it on danhov''s website.

I do remember seeing a post about food poisoning... I am so sorry to hear that. My BF hasn''t officially done the proposal ceremony yet, but he wants to make sure I like the ring he buys so he let me pick it out myself. I guess there will be no surprise, but I am fine with it. I don''t know what he is going to do for the official proposal yet.. I guess I''ll find out later... We haven''t really decided on a date yet, but probably sometime early next year. I am in US. And you? I''ll post pics once I receive the ring.

Good Luck!

Linda

Hey there - we are in uk - but he propsed in Italy - its certainly a story to remember - no date for us either - will keep you posted. good luck with ring cant wait to see it
