Setting Help Needed!!!

I have been looking all over for a 0.40ctw channel set platinum princess cut engagement ring with 8 princess cut stones (4 on each side), and a 0.3ctw channel set platinum princess cut with 15 princess cut stones. Color/Clarity on both is F/G VS1/VS2.----I know very specific

I found one at a jeweler

, and it was gorgeous

and I wanted to see if I could find the exact same thing for cheaper, as I might be able to get the jeweler to price match it

I have the center stone already.

That sounds like a pretty specific request. Maybe you need to go with a custom design or just buy it from the store where you found it. I'll bet it is a beautiful setting! If it is a brand name setting you might be able to locate it elsewhere and do a price comparison.

The engagement ring I believe is made by Luminar Creations. I don''t know about the wedding band. With that said, I would also be open to some suggestions as well as far as other sizes, etc go.

That is a great buy! I can''t tell if the sidestones taper, I would prefer them all the same size, just because I would want the wedding band to sit snug against it. I have small fingers, so I don''t want too thick of a band, and I want a separate e-ring and w-ring. I was think around 5.5-6mm for the two together?

What do you think?

The stones look to be the same size to me but I can''t be 100%. I think most of Scott Kay''s ring are designed for weddings bands to fit flush. You can always call or email Bill and request more info, he''ll also send you more pictures of the ring if you''re interested.

It is hard to tell from the pic whether they taper but it IS a great buy for a name brand setting and it does appear that a band will sit flush. Pretty close to what you were looking for!

Is it a cathedral setting? It seems to have space between the diamond part and the band underneath.

That is really pretty. Is the price with the w-band? I wish it had a side view. I like the e-ring, I think the w-ring may make it too thick over all though. But VERY pretty!

yep, me too. Based on other SK rings, that''s about right. Definitely call Bill and ask for more details. I know he''d be happy to send you more pictures of different angles too.
