Setting for H&A - Opinions Needed

I am purchasing my 0.72 G SI1 H&A from JA. I am now trying to decide on a setting and would like your opinion. We would like to get a setting from JA just to keep the process simple. My girlfriend''s ring size is 4 3/4 to 5. These are the settings I had in mind:


JA 1.9mm Common Prong
I would like the diamond to sit a bit more flush. I don''t like the scalloped edges of this setting either. I would prefer it to be more smooth, which is why I am now considering the next setting...

JA 2.2mm Pave
I like this setting, but I''m not too sure about the wire basket head?

they are both very pretty, I like the diamond to sit lower so I would go with #2 but then again, #1 showcases the diamond so nicely. Have you tried to do a search to see what these actually look like? that might help you make a decision. I'll try to find some IRL pictures too.

I really don't think you can go wrong with either both really beautiful, but if you don't like the bread knife serrated edge, then go with #2, however, she may like the serrated bread look though

Thanks everyone for your input. I am going to go with the common prong because I think that is what my girlfriend will like best. Now the questions is...

Should I get the 1.9mm with 20 melees at 0.30ctw OR 2.2mm with 18 melees at 0.54ctw?

so its between a 1.5 pointer and a 3 pointer. I think the 1.5 pointer (.30ctw) will really make your diamond pop more (or looks bigger) if this is something that you might be interested in, but what about the wedding band?

Definitely...I was thinking that would be a pro to get a 1.9mm. Wedding band will probably be the matching one or something very similar.
