How do I find a good setting? What if I see a setting at one vendor but the stone''s at another? I was searching around late last night and saw something I really liked. Too bad it was verrry late and I can''t remember where I saw it but it was from Signed Pieces, Facets collection, I think. I saw some pictures that someone had photoshopped, adding pave diamonds to the shank and WOW, that''s the setting I''d like

Darn if I can find now, though.

There isn''t a setting at ERD that rocks me. It would be so much easier to have it all done in one place. Have any of you had your stones sent elsewhere?? Or found a local jeweler who would work willingly with you, coming in with a loose stone from somewhere else?

Any ideas where I can look at some lovely, more modern-appearing settings (no tension sets, nothing like that) that would really do well by an emerald cut?

Try exceldiamonds.com. Just got mine there.

I like a lot of the settings at knoxjewelers.biz. They don''t have a ton of settings for EC cuts, but can make you just about anything you like if you see something you like.

ERD does custom.

A solitaire style? Sidestones? Pave? Split shank? Your options are limitless.
