Hi there everyone!
I have decided to set my 2 carat L round brilliant into an inexpensive white gold halo setting and wear it for a while to make sure I want a halo before I commission a custom platinum piece. I know Dave Atlas will both set my diamond and appraise it and he quoted me $225 to do so but he can''t do it until after the 25th of the month. I am leaving on a vacation on the 24th and would very much like to be able to wear my ring on the trip. Are there any others of you or do you know of someone who could do this for me if I overnighted it and get it back to me by like the 22nd or 23rd. Dave said it would just take a short time to do it and he would send it back but..... Locally I have been quoted $250 and $150 just for setting it (my setting only cost 375!) and there is only one ps approved appraiser within driving distance and she doesn''t appear to set stones. Anyway, i would certainly appreciate your help if anyone knows of anyone. Thanks so much!
