Setting advice

I wasn't sure where to post this and it didn't seem to belong in RockyTalky. I'm looking at setting a 7.25mm faceted gemstone. I am looking at buying a pre-notched setting or snap-tite setting. Neither are in that exact size. Am I better off purchasing a 7mm setting or an 8mm setting? Thanks.

I would say 7mm. I set a slightly bigger trillion stone with no problems. I'll have to find the dimensions

I would stick with 7mm s well. A little room never hurt anyone. All the best!
