Looking at a 1.09 AVC and deciding where to go singe or double claw prong. At this smaller carat size would a double prong make the diamond look smaller in comparison to single prong? The double prong would be more metal most likely and would let less light in? I usually only see double prongs on cushions until at least 1.5ct so wanted some input.

Thank you!!!

They would just have to be done nicely I think.

If you click on 'princess' there are a few around a carat, just to give you an idea. It looks like they make them pretty proportional to the center stone, as even on the 0.6 they dont look huge. These are not quite as 'claw like' as I've seen.

Personally, I would just do single claw prongs. Let the avc shine! I dont think double would make it look smaller, but still prefer the diamond to be the center of attention.

Due to the size of the stone, I would prefer single claw prongs. I dont know if the double would make the stone look smaller but
it would be more distracting to me on that size of stone (on a larger stone, no so much).

Couldn't agree more! Look like little blobs to me! I would never go for that look. You would need to make sure they could do
them VERY claw like.

Hah yeah, a little blobby. I couldn't find too many other photos with examples unfortunately. I just like that JA posts 'real' photos to show, rather than just their stock.

Thank you very much for all the input.

The lady likes both the AVC and AVR equally so now just looking at settings before I buy fairly soon.
