Hey Guys,

I have narrowed down a .77ct round diamond and am trying to finalize the setting. I have three shortlisted, please let me know what you think. If you want details I will post.

okay cool. Has she seen these settings and picked them out herself or are you making this a surprise?

She has assisted in coming up with the shortlist.

has she given you any indiction as to if she has a favorite? I only ask because e-rings are just so personal and if this is to be her forever ring it would be great to get her the exact one that she wants, not necessarily what us pricescopers would want..if that makes sense.

A lot of ppl (friends/family) like #3. Personally I like #1 or #2. She is leaning towards #1/2 as well.

out of the 3 you posted number 3 is just more classic in my opinion which is why I selected it. the other 2 are nice but to me won''t stand the test of time the way #3 has. But, if she had a definite favorite then I would say to go with the one she wants.

well said.

I like number 2. But, I like the look of less metal, more diamonds!

#2, then #3, then #1

I like bling.

I like number 2 also. Like snicklefritz, I prefer to see more diamonds. Number 3 would be a good choice if you're worried about damaging any of the stones. You wouldn't really have to worry about knocking it on anything and chipping a stone since they're set lower. But you also don't get a glimpse of them from the profile...it looks like a regular band and I'm all about seeing the bling from all angles! LOL

I'll also add that with the channel set I'd be worried about it getting gunky in there. I know I'm bad about getting lotion on the jewlery I have now and I think with that kind of setting it'd be a nightmare. Sort of like a dirt trap.
