Hi all,
I am casually starting to look around at e-rings to try drop style hints to the bf, who has given me some reasons to think he's considering proposing... I would not want him to spend more than about $2800 USD total for a solitaire in a platinum setting, preferably from Whiteflash (I know platinum eats up a lot of that budget but I really do not want gold - would maybe consider 950 palladium but Whiteflash doesn't offer it afaik) and I am in love with the Legato Sleek Line. Within budget I can get an ACA half carat or so with an H/I colour and eye-clean SI. However if I were to look at the regular Sleek Line with the peg head, which is a little cheaper I could bump it up to around a .6ct.
I have size 4 fingers and live somewhere where big rings are NOT common, and he comes from Europe where they dont even do solitaire/stone e-rings (his mother would probably think I'm really materialistic for wanting a diamond). So I am totally ok with a stone around the .5-.6ct mark.
My main question is, is the Legato sleek line worth the price difference? I've seen it's well-loved on PS and the difference in "wow factor" may well be greater than the difference in price, if that makes sense. Or does anyone have another setting suggestion, even from another vendor?
Additionally, anyone have hand pics of the original Sleek Line?
