Setting a diamond east west

I have an OMC that I will be resetting into a solitaire. I'm toying with the idea of setting it easy west. Are there any disadvantages to doing so?

I don't understand. If it's a round stone what is the different between east west and north south?

Can you be more specific.

There isn't any real problem with setting a stone e/w any more than n/s assuming the setting is made to fit.

I can't think of any disadvantages nala - it's a pretty stone, will look nice in a solitaire setting!

I think it would be gorgeous.... but then I am always up for an exciting journey of resets. Any ideas yet of what settings you're leaning towards? Going for a custom make or a particular designer? Please share some inspiration ideas/photos so we can be part of the reset.... I am done with my reset and have nothing to going one so gotta share on someone else's project!!
