Set My Pear! Suggestions, PS''rs?

After careful consideration ... I love it! Now, I just need to figure out how to set it. I know there are a couple of pear threads already out there - Laurenthepartier''s, but one more couldn''t hurt, right?

Original thread is Han001''s bezeled pear, or in the spare setting if it will fit (thoughts, guys?), but if you guys have any additional suggestions, I''d really appreciate it ....

Mrs. Mitchell, those are all unbelievably yummy! I love the rose-cut pear. I wonder if I could marry that design to the more modern cut of my stone ....

TyTy, that is a really nice design! I''m nitpicky enough that I think I''d want both stones bezeled (or prong set - it''s the disparity that would irk me), but I really like the basic principle. Do you think DBL will set outside stones? I''ve seen enough of their work to know that I really like their style ....

Bump? I really would love to hear more thoughts and see more designs - and it''s been ages since we''ve gotten a good pear thread going (unless I''ve missed one, in which case, point me to it!) and I''d really enjoy seeing the eye-candy and fantasizing about possibilities a bit ....

Heh, I''m flattered you remembered!

I just got the go-ahead from Jeweler''s Mutual today (v. pain-free process for insuring, for anyone who''s curious), and I''ll be dropping the stone off with the jeweler tomorrow! Into a bezel it will go, with a few little ... extra details ... just for fun. I can''t wait!

Gemgirl - YUM! That is a gorgeous necklace. I love it! I will have to hold off on the DBTY for now, but if I make the bale up properly, there''s no reason not to add one in the future ....
