I have had both the WF T&C replica and the SuperbCert one.. The WF one is very nice, but the SC one is a much better replica... It is custom made and hand made (like the T&C one). The WF one uses a universal basket... Search my u/n for pics comparing both...

Actually sna77, WF redesigned the same ring after you got yours, the basket is more of a buttercup head. If you do a search on elaineh, you will see that sometime last year it was redesigned with her specifications and they made it a standard setting a few months ago because everyone was asking for it.

I have a real T&Co. diamond e-ring, so I can tell you that there is very little difference, except for the donut, which is slightly higher in the real one and more square like. Also, the prongs in my real one are more pronounced.

When I was interested in the setting, I did look up your ring, but the pictures are no longer available, they come up with a red x instead.

Here is the old setting.

Here is a close up of the new head on the new version.

that does look much better...

As for the red X''s... I forgot about that... Somewhere along the line PS changed their policy about linking pictures... Everything has to be uploaded now and file size has to be under 100k... Sure it helps with consistency, but it killed half of the old threads...

Anyhow, the head looks much better... did they also thin out the band? It was kinda thick on the old WF one also...

Hi Angeline and Lynn! Now I really want to see your rings! Any chance you have a link to them? I was looking in the Show Me the Ring file a bit, but with so many rings it was taking a while. Thanks so much!

Ugh, I just wrote a long post and then accidentally deleted it. Anyway, I found both of your rings via searching for your SNs, and they are gorgeous!

I also wanted to add to the discussion about why I want to get a new ring. I really like how my ring looks up close (my daily view, and other people''s when they get up close to peer at the ring), but from a few feet away (where most everyone else sees it), it just looks like a mass of undifferentiated sparkles. On one hand, I feel like I should only care what the ring looks like to me, but on the other, the point of jewelry (which is entirely nonfunctional) is to be a beautiful adornment. I would never buy a pair of earrings if they looked really pretty close up but like a blob from every else''s perspective, if you get what I mean.

Alas, this is a huge downside of Pricescope.....we all get to see SO many amazing settings that it''s hard not to long for variety or crave a different look once you see someone else''s masterpiece.

Before making any drastic changes, I''d make a suggestion to anyone considering a reset. Have lunch with a friend and swap rings for the meal.

I have a few friends from PS - met one today for brunch. First thing we did was swap jewelry and we spent the entire meal wearing each other''s rings. This gives you a chance to see your own ring from a much different perspective than you normally would. In fact, you see it from the perspective you see all the other PSers'' jewelry from.....as a viewer instead of a wearer.

Watching my rings on someone else''s hand is a sure winner to make me fall in love with my rings all over again.

I wasn't sure if the diamond I had picked was too big, so I had my partner put it on (squashed half way onto his pinky finger, but you get the idea) and it looked huge but great huge and his fingers are lots bigger than mine, so I felt all better again!!

And Alj, that is a GREAT idea. I have actually *thought of* that, but none of my friends are into rings AT ALL, and DD is a much different ring size!!! So the closest I can ever get is DH wearing my rings on his pinky while I apply hand lotion, etc. (And they do look HUGE on his big hand, how can that be?!)

Anyway, I need to find a fellow diamond obsesser with a similar ring size!!!

Wow, those are both gorgeous!
