OK guys, this is a follow up to my previous thread. I''m still looking for diamonds, and I like this one so far, but there''s one MAJOR problem with me. I''ve read the other threads and I''ve heard all the great stories, but my problem is that this diamond is online (Whiteflash). I don''t think I can bring myself to buy a $12,000 diamond without ever seeing it. It just sounds ridiculous to me. Am I alone on this? It just seems crazy. Anyways, let me know what you think about this stone just in case I would consider buying an online diamond.

WF would have to get a copy of the GIA cert from the supplier.

You can arrange to have a pre-purchase appraisal where you get to view the stone.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think you can get a 1.7 princess, F VS1, with the best cut for 12K.

Have you talked with someone at WhiteFlash about this stone? Is it one they have in-house? I wouldn't order a stone until I had them look at it and discuss it with me and send me pictures either!

All I can tell you is that I trust the return policies of these vendors. I have ordered and returned a stone from one with no issues whatsoever (I don't have an independent appraiser nearby to have a stone sent to). I ordered another one this week from another vendor. I know I have 30 days for unconditional 100% refund. I am expecting to love the stone. If I don't, it goes back and our money is refunded. It's really fairly simple.
