I wanted him to look for an H, but he didn't think that he would be able to find a stone in an H color and my size and budget that was cut as nicely as this one. I have photos showing the color of the stone, and it doesn't have a lot of tint to it. These things coupled with the fact that this diamond was so pretty in photos and videos led me to pull the trigger. I'm happy with it, and I know my girlfriend will be THRILLED.

It is of the style that she has pointed out that she liked whenever we have been out looking..... Simple solitaire style with channel set accents on the band. It hasn't been ordered yet, did you have a different suggestion?

I think its a nice setting. If you have the budget, vatche make really pretty channel set rings too.

Normally I love gaberial settings but I'm not really liking the way the head connects to the shank.

Can GOG get Jeff Copper? This is nice...you would have to ask them to leave off the milgrain (shouldnt be a problem). I think this
one is less expensive than the one you are looking at and looks more refined (for lack of a better word).

Edit...does she have to have princess cuts in the band...I think these are rounds but its very pretty.

I usually love everything DS suggests (& I mean EVERYTHING, she has a wealth of knowledge and impeccable taste) but for some reason I prefer the look of the first setting over the second. However, it's a very personal decision and you guys are going to be the ones looking at it every day 24/7, not me, you know what I mean?

That said, either setting will make a gorgeous ring and she's going to be blown away by the mere fact that you're down on one knee asking her to spend the rest of her life with you!!
