select ideal, union diamond

Dear All,
I have reviewed diamonds from this sites search engine (https://www.pricescope.com/sift.aspx) as well as uniondiamond.com. The latter retailer offers select ideal stones. Does anyone have experience with union diamond? If so, could you speculate about how a select ideal diamond might compare to an AGS0 stone? They don''t offer ASET images online, so I only have numerical figures to go by.

You can do a search to read threads on Union Diamond. I don''t believe they offer IS or ASET pics at this time. I wouldn''t say that select ideal guarantees anything in particular - what shape are you looking for? If you plug the #s for a round in the Holloway Cut Advisor and aim for an X in between both the green and white boxes you are off to a good start. I would personally recommend AGS or GIA reports from them to increase likelihood that color/clarity are a bit more reliable (some other vendors if I personally trusted their eyes I would be fine purchasing another lab report). Alternatively if you purchase a non GIA or AGS reported stone just make sure to take it to an independent appraiser for verification (a truly independent appraiser, not someone who sells jewelry). I believe they are good with returns if needed, so if you got something you did not like you could return.
