Hi all,
Well, for those that have been following my setting dilemma, here are some updates.
I dropped the ring off almost two weeks ago. This past Tuesday, the vendor got it back and told me that he inspected the ring and was not satisfied with one of the prongs, so he had sent it back. I said to myself, no problem - it's good news because he is taking a closer look.
I was supposed to pick it up today but my FI got a call from the vendor that stopped me dead on. He was told that the one prong is not safe enough and beyond repair. So, after 4 attempts, the vendor suggested to start from scratch and create a new setting. Frustration anyone???? I need a drink pronto...
Since the "new" setting will likely have the thick prongs that prompted the changes, that is how it's made by this vendor, we decided to end this once and for all and just go elsewhere. Hopefully, we will get our money back. Although the vendor is willing to give me a new setting, I think I'm being reasonable in requesting it. My trust at this point is just GONE. If we don't oh well, you win some you lose some. I just want to bring some closure to this whole ordeal.
So here are the condenders:
- Mark Morell Petite Sunburst (with modified, less prominent prongs).
- Leon Mege Classic 4 prong solitaire - He is in NY so it's far more convenient for us.
- Vatche Slim X prong - Mary at GOG will help us out with this one. She is the sweetest lady!!!
The diamond in question is .82 ( 6mm)
So ladies and gents.... Please help me pick!!!!!
