Seeking Guidance on Tennis Bracelet Mounting

I am researching tennis bracelet mountings. My current tennis bracelet is way overdue for a reset. I've looked at mounting suppliers online. Stuller, Overnight Mountings and a few more I can't recall the names offhand. I think I know what I want. Classic inline, 4 prong 18kt white gold, very secure clasp. Looking at the mountings online one thing that stands out to me is some of the setting have a lot of metal coverage beneath each stone. In my uneducated mind, wouldn't that impair light getting to the stone? And make cleaning a challenge? Any thoughts or guidance? Quality of the mounting ordered from a supplier vs handcrafted? Is that a concern?

My current bracelet, roughly 10cts. (it's old!)
blk and white pic is an example of what I think I like. Again, concerns are the clasp and backside of the bracelet.

I have always liked some of the settings that this company uses! They sell mountings only as well if you know the diameter of your current diamonds.

Consider platinum, it is longer wearing, whiter, and right now platinum relative to gold, is a bargain.

That's very nice. Can you tell me why it's your fav? =)2

I like how well you can see the individual stones, and how the stones look clearly round instead of squared off. The distance between stones is also perfect to my eyes.

what is the approximate size of each stone? (Sorry can’t extrapolate from cttw)

Good question! But I think each stone is around .25 or maybe a bit larger. It's been sooo long since I had this bracelet made.

That style works well - it doesn't flip.
FYI - the way they are joined is a wire protrudes from each link. It is pulled thru a hole in the next setting, pressed into the grove, snipped off and soldered, emery'ed and polished.

Thank you for that explanation ! I was curious how the links were connected. And I do like that setting you linked to, very much. Great help thank you.

I wear my current bracelet with my watch. Something that popped up in my mind - the bracelet now is set in a semi-bezel setting. When I reset it to a 4 prong basket would that allow the diamonds to scratch my watch?

Seems to be a popular setting - 2 suggestions for the same setting. Awesome help!

Yes, I think that is a real possibility if the girdles of the diamonds are exposed in a new setting.
