hi ladies,

i realized i had posted this over in the hangout forum when i meant to post it in BWW.

has anyone received a wedding invitation with a seating time in addition to the start time? if so, how was it worded? i was curious to see if this is more common than i thought and if there''s a formal way to word it. i received an invitation over the weekend and it was the first time i''ve seen both times listed.
will any of you ladies be listing both on your invites?

I''ve never seen it, but I wished I had done it. We had a little traffic jam/parking issues and our ceremony started about a half hour late because it took so long to seat everyone. They all arrived at the SAME TIME. I actually have a really cool photo of the shadows of the line of people waiting to be seated. It was a madhouse. Maybe with a seating time, it would have gone smoother... of course, ours was outside and it was REALLY hot that day, so they probably wouldn''t have been happy if it had taken longer for everything to start up. We queued up as soon as the last guest was seated.

i wonder if people would show up earlier (if a seating time is shown on the invite that''s an hour before the ceremony start time) or if they''d still show up in just enough time before the ceremony begins.

Kind of like a "house opens at 7, showtime 7:30" thing?
