Hi,

I'm new here, so I hope this is the correct place to post. I'm looking to upgrade my current stone, which was purchased from James Allen. They have a lifetime upgrade policy, as I'm sure you're aware. I'd like help selecting a stone. Here are the requirements:

G color (really would like to keep this the same, for sentimental reasons)
At least SI2 clarity
Excellent or ideal cut
Must be at least $10,480 (for the upgrade policy)

Please help me find something good! I'm not sure exactly where to start, as it's a bit overwhelming. Currently, I have a G, SI2, excellent cut, very good polish and symmetry, 1.03 carat, GIA certified stone.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!

You didnt say how far over the $10.5k you were willing to go. Do you want to stay as close as possible?

Yes, sorry. As close as possible to that price point. Alternatively, I may be able to sell my current diamond and just purchase a new one. So I suppose anything in the range of $5,000- that upper limit of $10k. Nothing smaller in size than what I have, though. It's not a bad stone, I just think I can find something better.

I assume you're open to any shape.
These are the ones I'd get asets on. The emerald cut is both large and close to budget of course, the round is smaller and close to budget, and the marquise is large but a tad further away. If a nice aset though I think the mq has the best chance of being the most visual difference for what you currently have. I didnt search for anything more than 11k

If you're not open to other shapes and just want a round, I wanted to throw one thing our, for 5 k you're not going to get 1.5 cts. If that not enough of a jumo for you 1 to 1.3, you could also consider putting the money towards side stones instead.

You could get 75-80 point side stones for your budget. And honestly thats going to be more of a change than 1 to 1.3 ct

Just a thought. That may not be your style.
