has anyone seen a ring that comes close to the Tiffany Schlumberger vigne ring? I love it, but at $15K, it''s a bit out of my price range... any ideas?
Edited to add: I imagine reproducing that ring well would be pretty costly...maybe not as much as a signed Tiffany....but not cheap either. If you do find a designer to do it, and decide to go ahead with the project, I hope you'll post your progress here at PS....we'd love to get our vicarious thrills!
Some must be out there.... the style is not the easiest to find (thinking of a lace-like construction with diamonds and colored stones of different shapes) but some other makers are known for it. Thinking of Oscar Heyman, say.
This one is close to what I would expect to find 'similar'. Or This. Not all that close - but there are thousants of variations of such band rings.
Than those Simon G band rings with multicolor gold and platinum bits may have the look you are after although they are not done in the same way. mary Alaina got one recently.
Just some random pics. I don't remember of anything trully close to the ring you picked up.
That is an outstanding ring, but definitely not an easy one to reproduce from a custom standpoint. Hope you''ll keep us posted. Have you been to Tiffs and tried this on on your hand?
Well... I am not so sure I''d try to make an exact copy of that ring unless I see something close already made by the shop in cause. Not that it can''t be done, but I can''t imagine this being a bargain thing anywhere. MWM Jewelry (of Mark Morel, mentioned by Widget above) is probably less expensive than Tiffany, but definitely not cheap! Allot of Tiffany''s popular designs that are followed by other shops are not this intricate.
IMO, the closest thing to a Schlumberger ring from Tiffany is an estate piece. Some even show up online, like THIS.
I surely will follow the story of this ring, if you decide to have one done
Yes, I think that I have seen that ring on the Tiffany website. It is, in my opinion, lovely. It is a ring I would love if some generous person decided to give me a gift! I do not think I would spend hard earned money on it, however. [Even my husband''s .] It is not something I would want to wear to work.
I am in love with a gold bracelet sold by Tiffany''s that one could wear to work! [Not that I have a job anymore, but I hope one day to return to work! Once my daughter isn''t at such a precarious age!]
