Where can I see a description or schematic explaining the parts of princess cut diamonds? (culet, table, girdle, depth etc)

Hi Kavala. This is a round, but it's the same thing...just to give you an idea...

59.3% is the depth of this diamond? Where is the 40.7%? IS the 59.3% of the total diamond size, confused?

Here's what I referenced above, courtesy of White Flash:

Also, there is either a point on a diamond OR a culet. A culet is just a little flat facet cut on the bottom of the stone (where the point would normally be (if your diamond says "no culet" it means it comes to a point)).

Girdle: the outer edge of your diamond
Table: the big flat facet on top of the diamond
Depth: the total % of your stone from the table to the point/culet
Pavilion: the area from the girdle to the bottom of the stone
Crown: the faceted area from the girdle to the table

Does this help at all?

Does the depth% refer to the table starting at the very top part of the table or the base of the table?

It's from the girdle...

sorry about my diagram above lol...I meant for you to disregard the #s...but just to look at the diagram!
