I used to LOVE scary movies (when I was around 12 one of my favorite movies was "I Know What You Did Last Summer") - then suddenly they started giving me horrible nightmares and I can''t stand to watch them anymore. Last year I had to watch "The Shining" in school for a media studies class - so we were all sitting in this pitch black room watching on this HUGE screen (as big as a movie screen) and it was just a really awful experience. Nightmares for days. I wanted to walk out but we needed to write a paper on it when we finished it, so I had to stay. At one point the guy sitting next to me grabbed my shoulder (he thought he was being funny) just as we got to a REALLY creepy part and he TERRIFIED me!

I really prefer romantic comedies

Regarding I Am Legend, the book by Richard Matheson is one of my favourites. The first movie made based on this book was The Last Man on Earth with Vincent Price, and sticks closer to the storyline. The second movie was Omega Man with Charleton Heston and was a futuristic update. The Will Smith movie is the third one based on the book. The original novel was written in the 50''s, so of course each remake has been updated. The third movie is least like the book, and in fact strays from the central theme in the book. Read the book to understand.

I hate scary movies! Too...scary! Hahaha I am a big baby and I refuse to watch 99% of them. I did like 28 Days Later though.

We just re-watched the first Resident Evil. I LOVE it!! So creepy and gross!

I''ve only seen a few short commercials for The Orphan, but I think it looks spoooky! I enjoyed both versions of The Bad Seed, so if it''s anything like that, I pry would like it!

Has anyone seen ''The Orphan''? Previews remind me of that classic ''The Bad Seed''.
I wonder if it is like the Bad Seed or more like The Omen. I enjoyed the former much more than the latter. In any case, I will probably still view The Orphan because I like horror/thrillers.

I absolutely love scary movies! I''m at the point where nothing is really that scary anymore.
BUT there was one movie I couldn''t finish. The Hills have Eyes uncut.
It was just too upsetting for me to watch. I live in a country where people are raped, burnt alive, and tortured to death every day during robberies.
It just really upset me to see that in a movie.
