I love scary movies. My most favorite scary movies are zombie movies, although they TERRIFY me!!! When it first came out my husband and I were watching I Am Legend... It was so scary to me I couldn''t finish it. I am trying to get through it right now (in broad daylight, with all the curtains open and lights on) and I am having a hard time.

Does anyone else have a scary movie that they JUST CAN''T get through? Or am I the only sissy...

I CANNOT SEE the Exorcist. I can''t even HEAR the music or the movie at all...I freak out...really freak out

No, I can get through any truly scary movie, they are my guilty pleasure. I challenge you to sit through The Descent though. I love to loan out my DVD of that one to weed out the serious horror fans. I saw it in the theatre and it was the only movie in a *long* time to keep me gleefully interested all the way through. I do not watch strictly gory movies though, like the Saw series. Saw the first one, and it was okay at the time, but we''re up to number 5 or 6 now--meh!

I feel ya'' on the Saw movies... They are just gross now, not scary.
This movie is the only movie that really makes me feel scared... I have seen (and love) EVERY zombie movie... Exorcism/devil movies are great, vampire/werewolf movies, etc... are great. I think we have The Descent on dvd. I will suggest that to hubby as our next movie!

All right. I just finished it... It wasn''t too scary after the dog got bit. It WAS a really good movie though. Will Smith is the man. I almost started crying at the end!!

Me no watch scary movies

I don''t like horror movies anymore (and even suspense movies get to me at times), but I did when I was younger. I have never been able to watch The Exorcist or The Shining though. The freak me out.

I remember one from 1965 called "I Saw What You Did". It starred Joan Crawford. The story line is that a 2 teenage girls get bored sitting around the house. They decide to call random people on the phone and say "I saw what you did and I know who you are." Very good movie.

Another favorite of mine is "Carnival of Souls" from 1962. A woman drives her car into a lake and survives, but starts to see a strange man all the time....

Ooh, The Descent is a good one, we saw that in the theatre, too.

DH and I are big horror movie fans, and we try to see them all in the theatre. The only movie that gave me really awful nightmares was most recent remake of The Hills Have Eyes. I''m not sure why, because it really isn''t much worse than most, but that movie haunted me for months.

Oh, that and Wolf Creek. Several people walked out of Wolf Creek when we went to see it. That one had me scared at night, too.

Some of the old Twilight Zone and Outer Limits episodes are fascinating although they're not exactly scary.

Movies never scare me, but I find some horror movies are spellbinding. I love:
Alfred Hitchcoks's 'Vertigo'
Spielberg's made-for-TV movie called "Duel"

I love scary movies. I liked Wolf Creek. I don''t mind the Saw movies. Zombie movies are some of my favorite. I like some B- campy horror movies. Wrong Turn 2 is entertaining. The Midnight Meat Train is very gory.

I can''t wait ''til The Descent: Part 2 comes out.

I am a HUGE baby and can''t watch scary movies. I did watch I Am Legend in theaters though and for whatever reason, that one didn''t bug me too much. I was sad when the dog died though

I loooove scary movies..but I find that afterward I can''t sleep and I''m freaked out. We watched The Ring when I was 8 months pregnant-about 2 minutes into it, the whole closet thing, JD says "Soooo..still want to watch?" I was smushed up against him on the couch. Heck yeah I wanted to watch! So..I spent the next while defying gravity in the middle of the night when I''d get up to pee, too scared to walk all the way around the bed in case something grabbed me, I''d launch my hugely pregnant body over JD. Poor guy.

We rented The Strangers, I think it was called, and just from the pictures on the back, I got scared, so we never watched it. Masks and things like that..ohhh I don''t like it..but I do..in a way. I''m weird.

Wolf Creek I didn''t care for. I thought the guy looked like Murray Wiggle, and it wasn''t as scary as I thought it would be.

Exorcist music scares me, tho the movie did not. The Halloween movies have scary music AND he wears a mask = Scary.

I Am Legend was a great movie. What scares me about it, is I think, what if that really happened? One of the zombie movies I really liked, but can never remember the name..one of the Dead movies..Dawn of the Dead? It''s newer, and they end up in a mall.

Madam Bijoux, I''ve heard of that I Saw What You Did movie before, but I can''t remember where. It''s always sounded so interesting and I''d like to find it.

We borrowed The Descent from mom, and haven''t watched it. She said it''s not something I want to watch by myself..and JD won''t watch it. Might have to have mom come over and watch it with me!

13 Ghosts as another one I liked. Amityville Horror scared me for years.

I love horror movies. Have no problem whatsoever to watch a ghost or zombie movie midnight all by myself.

If I have to name a horror movie that I don't like, I would say the Saw series. In general, I don't like to watch body mutilation movies but have no problem with zombies eating humans (weird huh?).

packet: yes it was Dawn Of The Dead that some of the survivors ended up in a mall. Shaun Of The Dead was a funny zombie movie that I like.

ok, just want to add another one of the dead movie. LOL.

Land Of The Dead is an interesting zombie movie. It talks about zombies started to have learning ability. More like human evolution. First they communicate, then they learn to use tools.

I can''t even watch commercials for scary movies. I''ll get nightmares!

I love zombie movies! And books. Even though BOTH freak me out - my imagination gets way over-active. Seriously, I read Max Brooks'' World War Z, and then a few days later watched 28 Days Later...I think I had trouble sleeping for a week (ok maybe two....). I''ve moved away from the movies somewhat but I''m still addicted to zombie books

I Am Legend freaks me out too. I also get uber freaked by War of the Worlds. Something about the noise those alien bots make just makes my skin crawl.
32.gif
IT also scares the crap out of me. I always remember the scene where the little boy is playing with his paper boat by the sewer drain, and the creepy clown with the teeth is there.

The traditional scary movies don''t bother me, but strange creatures/beings taking over the world movies REALLY freak me out.

Yeah, I hated that part - sadly I knew it was coming, because I had already read I Am Legend before seeing the movie. But even still, I wish Sam didn''t have to die

i''m not a huge scary movie fan, but i do watch from time to time. slasher/gore flicks, zombies and vampires aren''t scary to me. the ones with suspense or with ghosts are the ones that give me that shiver up my spine. The Exorcist, The Shining and The Changeling are my top picks. btw, i''m talking about The Changeling made in 1980 with George C. Scott, and not the recent one with Angelina Jolie. like The Exorcist, The Changeling was based on a true story as well and the movie barley used any kind of special effects. no matter how many times i watch it, it never fails to terrify me! i highly recommend it if you''ve never seen it.

I''ve always loved scary movies, ever since I was a youngster.
I''m really looking forward to seeing that new one, Drag me to Hell - anyone
seen it yet?

Packrat - I loved the new version of Dawn of The Dead - the part where they''re
on the roof picking off Zombies that look like random celebs, that always cracks me up.
And ya, the ring was good.

If you haven''t seen it already - The Others, very good, suspenseful, no gore.

I love horror movies, vampire, werewolf and zombie moves are my favorites, but I''m not talking Twilight or Underworld here (love Underworld series but not scary).

One of my all time favorites is An American Werewolf in London, there''s just something about it, the scene on the Moors, and in the Underground, still makes me jump around after all these years.

Dog Soldiers (werewolves), 28 Days later, and 28 Weeks later, good ''zombie'' movies too.

Is the book better? I started reading it at a friends house but then when I went home forgot to take it with me. I''d buy it if it was any good - I thought it was weird that the zombies in the book talked whereas the ones in the movie didn''t.

I watched Blair Witch Project oooh soooo long ago when it first came out, and that was the scariest for me, Because not only do I like to be outdoors and hike by myself, plus my parents were out of the country for one month so I had the whole house to myself. This movie Played on your own natural fears. The production scary type shows don''t do it for me, but movies that plays on your own natural fear always gets to me. Then I go out hiking a week later after watching this movie and what happens to me... I got a little lost side track and ended up near an old rickety house that I already passed once

and it was an overcast day too.

We watch mucho scary movies in my house with two boys. We''ve seen probably every zombie one because one son loves the zombies. I like things like Final Destination(anxiously awaiting the 3d one in August), Jeepers Creepers is good. I like suspenseful ones, not torture flick Hostel-Saw crap.

I''m the biggest chicken in the house so sometimes I close my eyes or even my boys will throw up a hand over my eyes if something scary is coming ;)

Oh wow!
Just got home from watching "Drag me to hell" the new Sam Raimi flick -
seriously one of the best and scariest scary movies I have seen..

I was freaking walking back to the car in the dark lot, lol..!

Any scary movie fans, you must see it - it''s great!

I LOVE scary movies! I get it from my mom, DH hates them, he thinks they are boring, he finds the true life thrillers more scary - like serial killers etc. Though he is such the *girl* in our relationship - he prefers movies like "The Notebook", "Titanic" ...hehe! Where as I get excited about things like "The Grudge", "The Ring"....I am not faint of heart...but I still can not watch "The Exorcist" alone....."The Grudge" really scared me for days....."The Ring" left me with a disturbed feeling rather than scared.

There is that movie "The Unborn" that just came out on DVD that I may check out.....and "The haunting in Connecticut" - that one looks scary...anyone seen that one yet?

I saw The Haunting in Connecticut when it first came out. It was suspenseful but not scary. But then again I don't find many movies scary. I want to love scary movies but The Ring was the only one that had any real impact on me and that one left me disturbed for some time. I find most scary movies a joke...nothing like the old ones like The Shining!
