He''s such a sweetie, little boxers crack me up with their coneheads. One of my ex-friends had a full grown boxer that was absolutely insane when I was at her house. She would throw herself against me trying to knock me down. But she was always so happy to see me lol.

I grew up with boxers, and I really really wish I had the time/space for one. Whenever my life stabilizes (probably not for 10 years, lol) I am going to get a female one. They are just the best dogs. We had one when my baby brother was born, and she was so gentle and loving with him. I love Oscar''s markings! His siblings look so sweet too! More pics would NOT bore me

Will you get to visit him more before the wedding? It will be so fun for you to watch him grow!

Princesss we (my roomie and I) have a dog and two cats in our 1000 sq ft apt right now, and I love it! It is a total zoo, but I am an animal nut. She went abroad for a month this summer and it was me and all the furbabies! It can get crazy but its really fun. Your BF must be a great man if he loves Boxers

When we adopted our kitty from the shelter, he had already been microchipped with the name Oscar. He didn''t look like an Oscar to me, and besides I wanted an "ee" sound at the end of his name so we named him Sammy (the other name in contention was Max, but didn''t think the "ee" on Max would have been appropriate.

Btw, your boxer looks just like an Oscar should.

Thanks everyone, for looking! He is the cutest little squishable thing ever. He was so tired and whiny when I came to see him, too. The sound of him whimpering and the sight of his burrowing into my elbow for warmth was utterly indescribable.

Can''t wait to take him home!! It''ll really be something to take my mind off the lack of wedding planning once the Big Day is over!

isaku5 - He''s actually our second born, behind our cat Oz! But really, we''re having pets instead of kids so it really is like he''ll be our new baby. That''s so funny that your kitty was named Oscar. I don''t typically love the name Oscar, but it fits so well with his boxer face.

EBree - I know...that soft, furry puppy skin is the absolute best. He actually reminds me a bit of a pug, right now.

Miscka - we originally wanted to get a female because they''re smaller and a tad less rambunctious (but ONLY a tad). But the second we saw this little guy we knew he was ours.

HollyS - his nose is the best! Last time we saw him it was even pinker, so adorable!

MonkeyPie - I squeee every time I look at these pics. I have to stop myself from obsessively looking at them all day while I''m at work. We hope to train Oscar to be polite when guests come over, it''s our GOAL in life...but we know how much Boxers luuuurrrrvvveeee people.

Can you even imagine that some home owners insurance companies consider Boxers to be a dangerous breed? Outrageous...just because they LOOK like a tough dog. They''re teddybears! Cocker spaniels are more dangerous than boxers!!

Trillionaire - I know. Disgustingly unbearable, his little face is.

beebrisk - his little conehead is irresistable! Did you know that breeders look for that oddly shaped nugget? Not every boxer pup has one...it makes me laugh every time I see it.

Zoe - there are three sets of "colors" for boxers. Fawn - which is what Oscar is. Brindle - which is dark brown with stripes, and white (white is not accepted in some pedigree clubs though...boo). Similar to cats, one Boxer litter can have a mix of all colors, no matter what colors the parents are. Some boxers are all color, and some have some white markings on their belly, face and paws, which is a recessive gene that white boxers just have an excessive amount of. A boxer with those white areas is called "flashy." So Oscar is technically a "flashy fawn." White boxers are technically still either fawns or brindles, they're just extra "flashy." They're not accepted in some clubs because of the rule that show boxers should only have flashing on less than 1/3 of their body. However, white boxers are becoming increasingly popular as family pets, and they're somewhat rare, which makes them a higher commodity to breeders. The white boxer in the litter pic went for nearly twice the price of the others.
