sapphires vs colored diamonds

Does anyone know if colored diamonds have more value than a sapphire. Also, isnt it true that UNTREATED gems have a better resale value? Thanks!

Naturally colored diamonds are MUCH more expensive than sapphires.

A 1-carat natural red diamond could be a million bucks.

Colored diamonds are extremely rare and valuable, but something like an untreated larger padparadscha sapphire is too.

Depends on the colours and saturations in question, for both families - diamonds and sapphires.
