I prefer the all diamond one. Your engagement ring already has a lot of detail and the sapphire and diamond band may be too "busy" with your engagement ring.
My wife's wedding ring is Platinum with alternating Baguette and Round Diamonds.
Her e-ring is Platinum with Round Sapphires and Baguette Diamonds. She's had so many compliments from people that have seen them on her.
I think that sapphires and diamonds do look good together ...
Hi tough question...I am trying to decide what to get for mine...
I had seen a sapphire and diamond band in Tiffany's that I loved...it is somewhat like the one PlatinumDiamond posted...it had round diamonds and sapphire bag...and was quite delicate looking...I went to try it on and it was too busy for my e-ring...bummer...since my e-ring is sapp and diameond...the sapp/dia combos are tooo busy I have tried other as well...what looked beat was either all diam or all sapp...right now I am just going to get a very thin plat band and hold off on the diamond or sapphires for later (since we just decided to redo the kithcen $$$)
What you can do it go and try on different styles and comboe to see what looks best for you...I personally love the sapphire diamond combo...
Mark, I agree that your wife's rings look great together!
Diane, my ring is similar to yours and I've also wondered if it would look good with a sapphire and diamond anniversary or wedding band. Since my ring is an anniversary gift, I'm wearing it on my right hand for now. But I'd like a pretty wedding or anniversary band to wear with it on my left hand in the future.
While I think both bands are perfect style-wise, I am leaning towards the all-white/all diamond look. The step-cut Emerald lends itsef to all-diamond looks, but that is jus my 2 cents.
I'm very partial to sapphire with diamond too. I think it looks very elegant. I have three half eternity rings. One with sapphires and diamonds alternating, one with all diamonds and the other with all sapphires. They are all round cut stones though as my ering is round cut too.
Hey Caren, both styles are very pretty, and I think that since the sapphires have the same cut as the diamonds in your e-ring it will blend nicely together and wont look too busy. I think diamonds and sapphires look very nice together (really love the somewhat shocking difference between the white color and the blue), as well as being different from the norm. Definitely try some styles on to see if you like it before your final decision - many good ideas in your head can actually look awful in reality. But in the end, both styles are lovely, so its really what you feel comfortable with and like best. Hope this helps.
