Sapphire or emerald?

I'm kind of new in this and I got this sent to me. Is there anyone who may determind if this is gems or glass?

The mixed color stones look like sapphire. The blue stones look like spinel. If either of them are genuine stones, they'd be from alluvial (riverbed) sources. They do both come from the same areas, so it's possible they are genuine.

These are not inexpensive stones. Alluvial rough is great because a good cutter can get a high return. Something about an inexperienced person being sent stones that could yield a nice profit margin seems dubious.

They look like African sapphire roughs to me.

Yes, they look like alluvial sapphire to me, green and blue sapphire. Could be Australian material.
